OneClose Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how OneClose LLC (“OneClose,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit one-close.com (the “Site”), purchase our document templates or custom document services, or otherwise interact with us.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us

  • Purchase information. When you buy a template, bundle, or custom document service, we collect your name, email address, billing details, and the contents of any order. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.
  • Custom document intake. If you order a custom document, you may submit business and transaction details through our intake forms. This may include financial figures, deal terms, and other information about a business being bought or sold.
  • Email subscriptions. When you join our list for checklists, guides, and templates, we collect your name and email address.
  • Communications. When you contact us or submit a form, we collect the information you include in your message.
  • Account and comments. If you register an account or leave a comment, we collect the information you provide, and for comments your IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data. We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and similar analytics data when you use the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details and your choices.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Process and deliver your template downloads, custom documents, and orders;
  • Process payments and prevent fraud;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries;
  • Send you transactional emails and, where you have subscribed, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Use and, unless you opt out, share a limited set of your information (name, postal address, phone number, email address, and purchase history) with our affiliates and marketing partners for targeted advertising and marketing, as described in Section 5;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Measure and analyze traffic and the performance of our content and advertising; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Anonymized and aggregated data

We may anonymize and aggregate data submitted through our platform, including financial and transactional data from intake forms and uploaded documents, for the purposes of market research, benchmarking, analytics, and the creation of data products. This anonymized, aggregated data cannot be used to identify you, your business, or any specific transaction. All personally identifiable information and company-identifying details are stripped before any such use. By using our services, you consent to this use of anonymized, aggregated data as further described in our Terms of Service.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, and general location, and reports website trends to us. We have enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features (including Google signals and remarketing audiences), which allow Google to associate analytics data with advertising activity as described below.

You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can control Advertising Features through Google My Ad Center. Information about how Google uses data is available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. Advertising and Remarketing

We use Google Ads (including conversion tracking and remarketing) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show our ads to people who have previously visited the Site.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the internet.
  • Google and third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the Google advertising or DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on your past visits to the Site.
  • We do not collect sensitive categories of personal information for advertising, and we do not use remarketing in a way that reveals sensitive information about you.

You can opt out of personalized advertising as follows:

Where required by law, we obtain your consent before setting advertising and analytics cookies. You can manage your preferences at any time through the cookie banner or the “Cookie Settings” link on the Site.

5. How We Share Information

We share information as described below.

  • Service providers and processors who help us operate the Site and our business, including:
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, or prevent fraud or harm.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Marketing use and sharing with affiliates and partners (opt-out)

Unless you opt out, OneClose and our affiliates and marketing partners may use and share a limited set of your information, your name, postal address, phone number, email address, and purchase history, to deliver targeted advertising and marketing to you, including offers from OneClose affiliates and partners. This may involve disclosing those categories to affiliates and marketing partners for their own marketing, which may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

We limit this to the five categories listed above. We do not share the contents of your custom-document intake submissions, payment card numbers, account passwords, or any sensitive personal information for these purposes.

You can opt out at any time by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer, by emailing privacy@one-close.com, or by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. Opting out does not affect our ability to send you service and transactional messages, or, where you have subscribed, our own email newsletter (which you can unsubscribe from separately).

For visitors in the EEA and UK, we rely on your consent rather than an opt-out for this kind of marketing use and sharing, and we will not use or share your information for these purposes without that consent.

Some of these providers and partners may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@one-close.com.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request access to and deletion of their personal information, and may opt out of the “sale” and “sharing” of personal information. We “sell” and/or “share” the limited categories described in “Marketing use and sharing with affiliates and partners” above (name, postal address, phone number, email address, and purchase history), and we use Google Ads remarketing, which may also be considered “sharing.” You can opt out using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the Site footer, the cookie banner, by emailing privacy@one-close.com, or by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, which we honor. We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age.

EEA/UK residents (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract (to deliver your purchases), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Site), consent (for advertising/analytics cookies and marketing emails), and legal obligation. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Order and tax records are retained as required by law. Comment data and registered-user profile data are retained until you request deletion, subject to records we must keep.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date above.
